Global Charlotte is the Charlotte Business Journal's annual event that examines and interprets important trends, assets and strategies that are driving global competitiveness in the Carolinas.
Previous Global Charlotte programs have focused primarily on logistics, transportation, exporting and international manufacturing in the Charlotte area — and have drawn attendees from around the Southeast.
The 2015 event focuses on broadband's potential impact on economic development, innovation and foreign direct investment as Charlotte and Raleigh make the IT map as some of the next U.S. cities to receive Google Fiber high-speed Internet service.
