Two-part Cybersecurity Series for Your Leadership and Managers

SUMMARY: Cyber security is a key risk facing all organizations. Today’s business environment requires a certain level of complexity, technology, and interconnectivity to meet consumer demands and industry expectations. However these also introduce a heightened level of cyber risk. Cyber attacks are becoming common across the US. Companies must learn how to build effective programs to address these varied and dynamic threats.

This two part program will educate participants on the core components of an effective cybersecurity program, discuss practical steps to build such a program, and discuss how to best support and maintenance it.

Session 1 is Overview & Technology. Session 2 is People and Process.

Session 1: Overview & Technology, Mar 24, 8:00 am-11:30am

Overview:
An effective cybersecurity program must be multifaceted – addressing the technology, process, and people aspects of security. Additionally, cybersecurity programs must be business focused – ensuring digital assets are neither overprotected nor under protected. This program will focus on the fundamental components of such a program.

Guest Speaker: Shane Lewis, Task Force Officer with the FBI’s Cyber Task Force. In 2017, he was awarded the Exceptional Duty Award for Digital Forensic Services.

Technology:
Technology is a critical, and often the most visible, component of an organization’s cybersecurity program. Additionally these controls are costly and can often directly impact end-user workflow. Careful consideration must be paid to selection, implementation, and management of this ever changing tool set.

Second Session:

Session 2: People and Process on May 12, 8:00 am-11:30am
