“Partnering strategically with your employees for value creation and wealth.”
This will be an interactive dialog with our guest speaker Omar Garcia, Partner, 8020 World.
(bio below)
It is estimated that only 45% of American workers are satisfied with their jobs and fewer than 37% of workers under age 25 are satisfied, compared with 61% in 1987. Why is that? How can we, as company owners or managers ask these employees to put their whole capacity towards the business? How can we encourage innovation in a fast paced company that doesn’t seem to have time for innovation? Would those companies that deliver products or services that dominate their competition year in year out (like Apple) have a secret recipe?
Using a business case study, we will explore some of these questions, attempting to understand what owners or managers can do to improve business results and how a robust strategy sets the conditions for a successful business. Specifically, we will delve into what motivates people today and how companies may use these objectives to have a win-win situation.
